92. Is Lead from Within Right for You? All Your Questions Answered

Before we dive in today, a quick heads up about what this episode is going to be about. Today’s show is going to give you an inside look at my program Lead from Within, and I will be answering all of your questions. So you can decide whether it’s right for you and apply before the deadline ends on March 20th.

This may be the only public enrollment of the year that I do for this program, and in full transparency, I do not know exactly when the doors will open again to my broader audience. So if you have been curious about Lead from Within, if you have been on the fence, this episode is for you.

I have got almost a hundred other episodes you can dive into covering everything from executive presence, navigating difficult conversations, managing up. There is plenty of good stuff for you to go back to there. This episode, though, is specifically for that person who has been thinking about working with me or joining lead from within specifically.

Maybe you have been seeing my emails, my social post about it. Maybe you have uh, heard some past clients talk about their results. Maybe you have been telling yourself that you’ll look into it later. I don’t want you to miss this moment, not only because of the application window, but also because of where you might be in your career right now.

The second half of 2026 is going to be here very quickly, and I don’t want you to get to the end of this year and feel like it was yet another one where you put your own ambitions and your peace of mind on the shelf. That it was just another year of tolerating the overwhelm, the white knuckling through your role, feeling like you are always one step behind the politics or you are drowning in work that never seems to let up.

So by the end of this episode, I want you to be able to make a decision. Yes, I am applying, or no, I am not. And here’s a little teachable moment for you because this applies way beyond just joining a program. The middle is the worst place to be. Whether we are talking about committing to something like this, accepting a new role, making a career pivot, doesn’t matter.

Rolling in the indecision that costs you time, money, energy. A clear no is just as powerful as a clear yes, both for you to move forward. What’s not okay is staying in the in-between, just telling yourself you’ll figure it out later because that is the mental load that drains you.

All right. First things first. What even is Lead from Within? Lead from Within is my six month advisory program for mid to senior level professionals who want to secure the roles they are ready for and build the influence needed to succeed in them.

Now, this may be the first time you are hearing about the program and even if so, it has a long track record. I have actually been running it since 2023, so we are coming up on its third birthday in a couple of weeks here. So this isn’t something I’m testing out. It is proven, it has a track record. This though is the first time ever that I have opened doors to the public.

Up until this point, Lead from Within has only been available to my past clients. And it is the highest touch way to work with me right now. At this time, I don’t offer one-on-one coaching, so this is it. This is where you get the most direct in-depth access to me in an intimate small group setting week after week for six months.

And from there, I personally review every application. This is not an automated process. I am looking at each one to understand your situation, your goals, and assess whether Lead from Within could be a fit for what you need right now. And if it looks like there is a potential match, we will reach out to you to let you know. You’ll have the opportunity to book a one-on-one call with me so that we can talk one-on-one about your situation. You can ask any questions you have. We can both make sure mutually it’s the right move for you.

And I wanna be clear that call is not a high pressure sales conversation. I have turned people away from the program when I didn’t think it was the right fit for them because I would rather you join something that is going to serve you and get you good results. It is not a benefit to you or to me, frankly, if you join a program and it’s not a fit for you and you can’t be successful in it.

There are lots of career development programs, different types of support out there. Maybe you even have something through your company. So why would you choose Lead from Within over anything else? Well, I, I think to answer that, I wanna explain a little bit about why I created this program and why it is designed the way that it is.

My background is as a licensed therapist. I am a former emotions researcher. I have been a professor of human behavior for about 10 years now, and everything we do in my company is through the lens of the dynamics that drive how people think, feel, and act. Yourself and others, especially in the context of the workplace, in your career.

Alright, who is Lead from Within for? Who exactly is this program for and who should be applying? The ideal person for this program is high, mid to senior level. So I’ll start here with promotions, career moves, since that’s what a lot of people are curious about and working towards. So we have one client who did achieve a promotion to the executive level, plus the salary, the bonuses that came along with it. She was able to be appointed to an interim C-level role for almost a year, which she told me verbatim, I felt ready to handle it.

Another client came to us in the program in the middle of a job search, and he said his success rate landing interviews more than doubled. And that was through the work we did on his resume, cover letter, LinkedIn. But it’s not just about the promotions. A lot of the work we do is on influence and credibility, which often unlocks everything else.

So Narali is a perfect example. You may have heard her episode on my podcast a few weeks ago. She’s now the head of program and change management, at an org of about 50,000 employees. And when she joined Lead From Within, she had been advocating for an enterprise wide change management capability for two years, and it was like pushing a boulder up a hill.

We had another client who was able to secure additional headcount during a hiring freeze because she was able to make a business case in a way that leadership could not say no to.

Another has led high stakes negotiations that have saved her organization over $4 million. Think about how valuable that makes you to decision makers. Another received a company-wide shout out positive mentions at the all hands meeting after being able to implement what she has been learning about visibility and presence.

I have had a client who had just been promoted and was struggling with that transition. She was now managing former peers, feeling like she had to prove herself constantly saying yes to everything, and within a few months she said her ability to push back to say no had drastically increased. She had more influence. Her relationships were stronger. Key allies trusted her more than ever before.

And one of my favorite stories, is a client I will call Dina, who was being groomed as the successor to the CEO of her organization. And she was one of those people who, her team was growing really rapidly and she was also traveling extensively, often internationally for weeks at a time. And in the past, she would’ve been compensating for everything at the office because the team wasn’t self-functioning. She would have to get on late night calls. She was constantly checking in with them. All the work would grind to a halt, and she would come back to all of these crises. But after working on externalizing her standards, building systems, her team was able to keep moving even while she was on. And she recently, took two full weeks offline for a self-care retreat with complete confidence that her team had it on lock. So that is what I mean about scaling yourself. That’s what it actually looks like.

If you can’t make the live calls. That is totally fine. You have options. First of all, every call is recorded. The replay is posted within 24 hours inside the private community, so you can easily catch that and listen to that. We also provide an AI summary with every call so you can scan for the main takeaways if you’re in a rush, or you can jump to specific parts.

We have had clients in the past who have standing commitments and can’t really ever make the live calls, and they still get incredible results because they make a point to catch up with the recording. So, when you show up to a call, it’s not like we’re starting from scratch. We have context.

And here’s something that may surprise you. Many clients actually prefer this to one-on-one coaching. I mentioned that earlier because yes, you get my specific direct input, but you also get that side benefit of hearing how other very smart, capable leaders are navigating things that maybe you are also up against right now. Or you know, you will be up against in the very short term future. So you learn from their situations too. You absorb that. You see their patterns. You pick up strategies that you wouldn’t have even thought to ask about. And that makes you so much sharper. So no, you will not get lost. You will not just be another face of the crowd and Lead from Within.

You might have concerns about sharing details about your job. Maybe your work is confidential, it’s sensitive. A lot of people will say, I’m worried about what I can and can’t say in a group setting. And I completely get that. Many of our clients work in highly regulated industries. They’re handling sensitive informations. They just simply have work situations where they need discretion around it.

And so what I say to that is you only have to ever share what you are comfortable with. We do not need specifics to coach you. Well, we do not need names. We do not need exact details about projects or numbers behind a certain deal. We just need to understand high level the dynamic, the human stuff, the relationship challenge, the political situation, the communication conundrum you’re trying to solve so you can keep it vague. You can say, I’m dealing with this senior stakeholder who keeps undermining me in meetings. You can say, I’m preparing slides for this presentation to our executive team. We don’t need to know the ins and outs. Or you can tell us about the general strokes of the reorg that you’re navigating and how you’re trying to position yourself without revealing all of the internal details.

And on top of that, the group is small, it is vetted, it is full of professionals who understand the importance of discretion. So everyone in the room is navigating their own sensitive situation, and there is mutual respect for that confidentiality that comes with that.
