1. How are you different from other coaches?

Unlike most coaches, who one day just decide to start a business giving people advice, I have been coaching for over six years.

Over the years I’ve helped more than 10,000 high-achievers mentally and emotionally thrive, including CEOs, executives, and top performers at some of the world’s most successful Fortune 500 companies. My clients include managers and executives at Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, HP, Fresh (the beauty brand), HBO, the U.S. Department of Education, The Federal Reserve, Johns Hopkins University, KPMG, and Deloitte. I also coach media personalities, tech startup founders, and entrepreneurs across a broad range of industries (finance, tech, HR, fashion, consulting, non-profit, healthcare, social services, entertainment, etc).

I’m a licensed social worker and also teach Human Behavior in a graduate program. I hold a Masters degree from Columbia University where I trained under top professionals in the field. Earlier in my career, I worked in the lab for one of the world’s leading psychology researchers.

But those credentials don’t define me. You see, I feel your pain as smart, sensitive high-achiever because I am one too. I think and feel everything very deeply. I’m a consummate A+, gold star, “good girl” who found herself burned out and miserable because she pursued someone else’s version of success. I’m an introvert, empath, and an entrepreneur who still struggles with anxiety and overworking, but is happier than ever pursuing work and a career I adore.

And I started my coaching practice as a way to help other “sensitive strivers” like you cut through stress, develop confidence, identify your purpose, and find inner peace.

Helping high-achievers like you overcome the emotional challenges of success is what I do best and enjoy the most. I understand human psychology on a deep level, which means that I’m able to get you off your emotional roller coaster and back on track.

2. How does this work?

The first step is to select a time for your free, no-obligation call. In this quick chat, we’ll talk through what you’re looking to achieve in your career and life.

If we determine it’s a good fit to work together, we’ll start off with an in-depth assessment of the barriers holding you back from achieving the happiness and success you desire. We’ll devise an action plan aligned with your goals to work through in our sessions. This will be our foundation. We’ll then apply the latest, evidence-based psychology research and techniques to find structured, proactive ways to solve the challenges you’re currently facing.

Each session I will provide you with concrete, actionable guidance that will be your assignments for the week. The process and all the sessions will be personalized and tailored to your specific needs, so if you have an inclination to write things down you may be asked to document your thoughts and feelings in a journal, whereas if you tend to be a “thinker” I’ll give you certain cues to pay attention to that are designed to help you take back control of your emotions. No matter how you’re wired, I’ll work with you to build a plan that we will review and build upon as the weeks progress, and will let you see tangible results fast.

If you want to know more about my approach, visit my services page.

I’m here to help you master your mindset, control your emotions, and finally enjoy your success. Are you ready? Click here to book a free, no obligation call now so we can talk through what you’re looking to achieve in your career and life.

3. How quickly can I expect results? Will it take a really long time?

Most of my clients start to see early results in as little as two weeks (see for yourself!). However while I’m 100% committed to you and will always bring my A-game to our sessions, I want you to understand that there’s no magic bullet. Your personal results will depend on how much of yourself you bring to the process and how much work you’re willing to put in.

While every situation is different, I advise clients commit for a minimum of three months. This helps to ensure they experience a full and lasting change instead of just a fleeting, superficial one that quickly goes away. Throughout the time that we work together, no matter how long or short, I will always be challenging you to further develop your emotional and mental mastery. There’s no limit to how much a person can grow, so there’s also no limit for how long our partnership can last.

4. What’s the process for getting started?

Book a free, no obligation call. In this quick chat, we’ll talk through what you’re looking to achieve in your career and life. I’ll be looking to learn more about you, your goals, and what you’d like to work on through coaching. I can tell you more about how I work and answer any questions you have.

5. What will we actually talk about in our sessions? Are my secrets safe with you?

Yes, everything we speak about is 100% confidential and I absolutely respect your privacy. What we’re going to talk about depends on your individual situation and your specific goals. The entire process, as well as every session, is individually designed for you and your needs. I value efficiency and progress and I always focus on solutions, not problems.

6. Where do our sessions take place? What if I’m in a different timezone?

We’ll talk via FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, or phone so you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your home for our sessions. But please don’t hang out at Starbucks or noisy places with a lot of people around — the session won’t be effective and you won’t be able to fully experience the benefits if you’re somewhere with distractions. You’ll get the best results if you’re focused and committed! And even if we’re in different timezones, we’ll always find a way to schedule a session that works for both of us.

7. I’d love to know more about you! Who are you, really?

Here’s a few fun facts:

  • I’m a Jersey Girl born and raised (and have the sassiness to prove it!)
  • I’ve been a bookworm since childhood and read like crazy.
  • At any party, I’ll be the first one out on the dance floor and usually the last to leave.
  • Fitness is a critical component of my mental health. I run, spin, and am a newbie yogi slowly working on getting to crow pose.
  • I can’t resist the allure of a thrift store. I love the thrill of finding something cool and unexpected, the hidden gem in the rough and that one unique piece that’s been waiting for you somewhere in a dusty box.

8. That sounds great, but what if I can’t afford your services?

I understand that you may not be in a position to make what feels like a big investment right now. Many of my clients felt the same way at the point of their initial consultations. However, once they realized how much their personal success and happiness were impacted by the emotional challenges they faced, they realized that making progress towards stability each week not only improved their mood, but helped their professional development enough to easily pay back the cost.

For example, many of my clients earn more by getting promotions, doubling their salary, or starting new businesses during our work together. You can read their success stories here.

Your employer may pay for coaching or reimburse you. Ask me for more information!

9. Do you accept insurance?

No, because my services are coaching and supportive counseling, and not clinical psychotherapy, they are not reimbursable by insurance providers. However, I do accept HSAs and FSAs (health and flexible spending accounts) in addition to credit cards and PayPal. Also, usually coaching is tax deductible. Talk to your accountant about this.

10. I’d like to speak to references, is that possible?

Unfortunately everything I discuss with my clients is confidential and I must respect their right to privacy. I can’t hand out their information to third parties. However if you want to see what my clients have to say about me, many of them have agreed to let me share their feedback on my Client Results page.

11. Are there any policies that I should be aware of?

Yes, there are some rules and policies to make sure we’re always on the same page! If you can’t make it to one of our sessions, for example, you have to cancel within 24 hours before the appointment. Otherwise you’ll be charged for the session.
Before we actually start working together, I’ll send you my intake form in which I explain my simple policies to you in detail, so there’s absolutely no need to worry!

12. I loved working with you and I’d like to refer you to someone! How can I do that?

If you believe that someone you know would benefit from working with me, please feel free to share my website with them and have them contact me by phone or email. A referral is the highest compliment I can receive, so I want to thank you in advance.
